Strips USA (“Strips USA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates stripsusa.com and a walk-in location at 4101 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229. We are a licensed, family-owned Maryland medical surplus buyer. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit our website, sell your diabetic supplies to us, or visit our store — and how we use, share, and protect it.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you create a mail-in order or contact us, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number (optional), the details of the supplies you are selling, and any notes you include with your order. To pay you, we collect the payout details you choose to provide — such as a PayPal email address, Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App handle, or a mailing address for a business check. If you visit our walk-in location, we may collect similar information to complete your transaction and comply with our record-keeping obligations.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your device and how you use our site — such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site (for example, from a search ad). What we do NOT collect. We do not ask for or store credit card numbers, bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, or health records. Selling your surplus supplies to us does not require sharing any medical information, and we ask that you black out or leave pharmacy label information for us to remove — we destroy personal information found on pharmacy labels.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: process your buyback order and send you a prepaid shipping label or kit; inspect your shipment and send you your payment; send order status updates and receipts by email; respond to your questions; verify that supplies offered to us are eligible for resale (for example, not obtained through government programs that prohibit resale); prevent fraud and abuse; improve our website and services; and — where permitted — measure and improve our advertising. If you opt in to marketing emails, we may send occasional offers and price updates; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

Our website uses the following third-party tools, which may set cookies or collect device identifiers:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — helps us understand site traffic and usage. Google Privacy Policy · opt-out browser add-on
  • Google Ads conversion tracking & remarketing (via Google Tag Manager) — measures whether our ads lead to orders and may show you our ads on other sites. You can manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel — measures our Facebook/Instagram advertising. Manage your preferences in your Facebook ad settings.
  • LeadDyno — tracks referrals from our affiliate partners so they can be credited.
  • Embedded YouTube videos — our customer testimonial videos are served in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode where possible; YouTube may set cookies when you play a video.

Where we use “enhanced conversions” for advertising measurement, a hashed (unreadable) version of your email address may be shared with Google to improve measurement accuracy; Google cannot recover your email from this data if it does not already have it. You can also limit cookies through your browser settings, and opt out of many interest-based ads at optout.aboutads.info.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed:

  • Lightspeed/Ecwid — the e-commerce platform that powers our order process;
  • Shipping carriers (such as USPS) — to create your prepaid label or ship your kit;
  • Payment providers (such as PayPal) — to send your payout via the method you choose;
  • Email and website providers — to send order notifications and host our site;
  • Analytics and advertising platforms — as described above.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Strips USA, our customers, or others. If our business is ever sold or merged, customer information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

Data Retention

We keep order records for as long as needed to run our business and meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymized. Personal information on pharmacy labels of supplies you send us is removed and destroyed as part of our intake process.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live (including under the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and similar state laws), you may have the right to: know what personal information we hold about you; access a copy of it; correct it; delete it; and opt out of targeted advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@stripsusa.com with the subject line “Privacy Request” or call 443-824-4935. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your order and respond within the time required by applicable law. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

Email & Text Communications

Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping labels, payment notices) are a necessary part of our service. Marketing emails are optional — unsubscribe anytime via the link in the email. If we offer text-message updates, they are opt-in only and you can stop them by replying STOP.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to sell supplies to Strips USA, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Our website transmits data over encrypted (TLS/HTTPS) connections, and access to customer information is limited to staff who need it to process your order. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information with appropriate technical and organizational measures.

Customer Photos & Testimonial Videos

The customer photos and videos on our website are shared with the customer’s permission. If you appear in one and would like it removed, email info@stripsusa.com and we will take it down.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be posted on this page.
